WGZ BANK

THE CENTRAL INSTITUTION

WGZ BANK is the central institution of about 250 Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken in Rhineland and Westphalia, with its head office in Düsseldorf, Germany´s second largest financial centre. Located in the heart of Europe, in one of Germany's and Europe's economically most important regions, it supports and complements the services of these banks in both national and international business.

With consolidated total assets of € 61.3 billion, WGZ BANK is one of Germany's largest banking institutions. The co-operative banks linked up with WGZ BANK maintain about 2,500 outlets and have approximately 2.6 million members. The combined balance sheet total of these banks amounts to about € 135 billion. WGZ BANK sees its main corporate objective in the promotion and strengthening of the competitiveness of these local co-operative banks.

THE COMMERCIAL AND WHOLESALE BANK

Apart from having its traditional function as a central institution, WGZ BANK is a commercial bank offering a wide range of customized and highly sophisticated services and products to corporates, and capital market clients. As wholesale bank WGZ BANK plays an active role as trading partner in the international money, forex, derivatives and capital markets as well as in bond issues and syndications.

Additionally, we offer to our customers a complete range of financial products through subsidiaries and specialised companies belonging to the GENO Group Germany and in which WGZ BANK holds important shareholding positions.

A STRONG PARTNER IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS

WGZ BANK provides its local co-operative banks with a link to the international markets. It co-operates with more than 3,000 correspondent banks on all continents and thus ensures a speedy and smooth handling of international transactions. Additionally, WGZ BANK plays an active role in the international syndicated loan market.

With subsidiaries, participations and the network of the GENO Group Germany in many international places, WGZ BANK has access to all important financial centres in the world.

DZ BANK AG

The DZ BANK AG Group is part of the German cooperative financial services network, which comprises around 1,000 local cooperative banks and is one of Germany‘s biggest private sector financial services organisations measured by consolidated assets. BVR

Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken, with over 15 million members and approximately 30 million customers, are a pillar of German banking and a major force in the German economy.
