Panellinia Bank

Panellinia Bank was established in April 2001 by the Cooperative Banks and Credit Union in Greece.

The name Panellinia Bank aims to define the initiative of the founder banks i.e to create a banking group that will be developed, expanded and finally established throughout Greece.

The bank's headquarters are located in Holargos, Athens, where someone can find all bank activities centralised under specialised departments. All 29 cooperative banks and credit unions represent over 160,000 shareholders, all of which are also clients of Panellinia Bank.

One must not hesitate to mention the banks strategic shareholder, DZ BANK, the German Central Cooperative Bank.
Although the average time period of the existence of the cooperative banks is less than 10 years, the banking group has managed to concentrate over 1% of the local Greek market with constant growth planned for the coming years.

Finally, Panellinia Bank shows this rapid growth having to present, in the first half of 2006, 25 branches throughout the Greek region in areas where one cannot find cooperative bank branches and a participation in the cooperative banking network of 160 points of sale nationwide.
